About Elliott Grabill

Elliott Grabill fell in love with poetry in eighth grade, when he sat in the library during lunch and read the Norton Anthology.  Also a composer, his music can be found on his youtube channel or website.  Elliott enjoys couchsurfing, train travel, canoeing, kombucha, and recording other people's poetry onto this youtube channel.

Nature’s Human

These poems are not about nature, like haiku, nor are they about human nature, like senryu. I think they are somewhere in between. Incidentally, I almost titled this collection “Hospital,” because a patient often reflects on the composition of the body, mind, and spirit—but the word is so loaded I thought it might take away from the poems themselves. Maybe I’ll change my mind.
